The one word you need
What’s a frame?
A frame is one piece of a website: the questions box, the booking button, the row of program cards. You make it in Websonance and add it to your site with two short tags.
From then on you edit it here, and every page showing it catches up on its own.
One page, and the frame inside it
Everything around it is your website. The highlighted part is the frame, a real one. Click the questions.
Four things make it a frame
- 1It’s a piece, not a page.
A frame does one job: answer questions, take a booking, show six cards. It has no menu, no footer and no address bar of its own.
- 2It lives at one address.
Your page doesn’t hold a copy of it; your page points at it. That’s why changing it once changes it everywhere.
- 3You keep editing after it’s live.
Add the tags once. After that you never touch your website to change the words, the colours or the order.
- 4You decide where it may appear.
List the websites it’s allowed on and it only shows there. Anywhere else, it stays blank.
What it isn’t
Not a website builder.Websonance doesn’t host or replace your site. Keep Squarespace, WordPress, Wix, or whatever you have.
Not a plugin. There’s nothing to install and nothing to update. Two tags of HTML are the whole setup.
Not a tracker.Frames don’t watch the people who see them. We can’t tell you how many visitors a frame had, because we don’t look.
The eight kinds
Each is a different shape of the same idea. Whichever you pick, you edit it by clicking on it and typing.
Websonance is in a private beta.
Ask for an invite and we’ll set you up with your first frame.
